Volunteers Head to the Coast
SANDY HOOK, NJ -Volunteers will be heading to the beaches, bays, and waterways on Saturday for Clean Ocean’s Actions 30th Annual Spring Beach Sweep from 9:00 am – 12 pm at over 70 locations around New Jersey and participants will be collecting and tallying marine debris and beach litter, which will later be compiled in our Annual Data report. The Beach Sweeps not only brings communities together, but gives us important data regarding debris that is found on our beaches.

For 30 years dedicated volunteers have been picking up trash and entering data, which Clean Ocean Action compiles into an annual report. This data is to put in place policies to protect our beaches from debris and educate the public on actions they can take to reduce their pollution footprint.
