Atlantic Highlands, NJ – The Jeans Challenge competition, which was held by Shore Results fitness training studio, and is tailored for women, challenged participants to lose two jeans sizes in eight weeks. All twenty-nine women participating in the contest were successful in losing two jeans sizes over the course of eight weeks.

The Jeans Challenge program included everything contestants needed to be successful and guaranteed results. Participants attended four group exercise sessions a week, and were able to choose from morning, evening, and weekend sessions. They kept a food journal and attended an accountability meeting every week. In addition, weekly nutrition meetings and discussion groups were held throughout the contest. “The program is structured in a way that offers lots of support, which we’ve found is key to successfully achieve fitness goals,” said Kim Garrity, Nutritionist and Program Director.

Participants agreed that excessive support is the number one differentiating factor and one that drives the success of the challenge. During the ongoing nutrition meetings, participants discuss obstacles to success, get feedback on food choices and adhere to a strict set of nutritional guidelines proven to increase fat loss while sustaining muscle.

“The journey has been educational, fun and challenging!” said participant Ann Scholler “I am reminded by the motto on the wall of the studio at each workout; ‘If it doesn’t Challenge you, it won’t change you!’”

Happily on Tuesday evening, November 18 the Jean’s Challenge ladies attended the completion party to celebrate their success.  Of those completing the program, 100% fit into their jeans!  Each participant received a brand new pair of designer jeans from Lucky Brand in the Grove in Shrewsbury; as well as gift certificates from Color Bar, a hair salon; and Eyes on First, a high end eyewear shop - both in Atlantic Highlands.  The women sported their “new” size jeans for the glamorous after photos which were taken during the party.
