BALTIMORE, MD - Women from around the world are arriving in Baltimore, Maryland this weekend in preparation for the 2014 International Convention of the Sweet Adelines International. Choruses and Quartets from across North America and as far away as Sweden, and halfway around the world to New Zealand and Australia will perform in competitions before panels of world-class judges and a world-wide internet audience.

A group from Freehold, the Liberty Oak Chorus, under the direction of Katie Blackwood, will be among the international competitors.

Sweet Adelines International is a worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education, competition and performance.
