HOLMDEL, NJ- Holmdel First Aid Squad (HFAS) will hold its first 5k race on the Vonage property at 23 Main St in Holmdel, Oct. 12.
“Our goal is to host an event that can appeal to all ages, and allow us to interact with the public in a non-emergency setting,” said Holmdel First Aid Squad’s ‘Run for the Rig’ Event Chair Kyle McCartney. “This area is home to many running enthusiast, and we feel this is a unique type of fundraiser for our field.”
The 5k will kickoff at 9 a.m. and go until 3 p.m. Participants and supporters should arrive at least a half hour early to prep and find parking. Those interested are strongly urged to pre-register for the race.
Registration information for the 5k can be found at www.holmdelfirstaidsquad.org. On-site registration will be available.
Fees for the event are as followed. Runner’s registration fee is $30, prior to Sept. 15, and guarantees a t-shirt after this date tickets will be $40. Medals to be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female finishers. A kid’s fun mile run will be held after the 5k with a $10 entry fee until Sept. 15, then the fee will be $15. All participants in the kid’s mile will receive a prize.
Vonage is located at 23 Main St Holmdel, N.J. between State Highway 34 and Holmdel Road.
Holmdel First Aid Squad is a non-profit volunteer emergency medical service organization. They have been in service since 1969 and provide superior basic life support to the residents and visitors of Holmdel Township.
