Special Olympics USA Games will be hosted by New Jersey June 14-21, 2014
Neptune, NJ – On May 21, 2014, a press conference was held on the boardwalk at Asbury Park where Bob Hilton, Director of the Jersey Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau, presented a “key to the Jersey Shore” to Special Olympics 2014 CEO, TJ Nelligan.
Bob Hilton welcomed the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games to New Jersey on behalf of Monmouth and Northern Ocean Counties; part of the Jersey Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Region. Mr. Nelligan, Founder of Nelligan Sports Marketing, has been a member of the Special Olympics New Jersey Board of Directors since 1995.
The Special Olympics USA Games will be hosted by New Jersey June 14-21, 2014. Nearly 3,500 athletes will compete in 16 Olympic-style team and individual sports, with the support of 1,000 coaches, 10,000 volunteers and 70,000 family, friends and spectators.
