HAMMONTON, NJ – Discount tickets are available online for the second annual Hammonton Wine Festival set for noon-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 3-4.
Sponsored by the Hammonton Rotary Club, the two-day event will return to the Mt. Carmel Fairgrounds in Hammonton for another year of live music, good food, local vendors, and the best that the South Jersey wine industry has to offer.
Tickets are $20 for a one-day pass, $30 for a two-day pass. Admission is $5 for those under age 21. Go to www.hammontonwinefestival.com and look for the promo code good for $4 off your ticket purchase.
Some of the participating wineries include Plagido's Winery, Hammonton; Wagonhouse Winery, Swedesboro; Chestnut Run Farm, Pilesgrove; DiMatteo Vineyards, Hammonton; Coda Rossa Winery, Franklinville; Cava Winery and Vineyard, Hamburg; Monroeville Vineyard and Winery, Monroeville; and Southwind Vineyard and Winery, Millville.
Food will again be provided by the Mt. Carmel Society of Hammonton, famous for sponsoring the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel each year since 1875. Enjoy Italian pulled pork with broccoli rabe and provolone cheese, Italian sausage and peppers and more. Live music will be performed by the Fool Injectors.
All proceeds benefit local charities supported by the Hammonton Rotary Club including the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, the Hammonton Rotary Club Scholarship Foundation, DAV Chapter 66, students attending the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards conference, plus youth baseball, basketball, soccer and wrestling programs. The local Rotary club also supports Rotary International and its worldwide efforts to eradicate polio and provide fresh water to those who need it.
