MIDDLETOWN, NJ - The Middletown Township Historical Society will host Joseph Bilby, the assistant curator of the National Guard Militia Museum in Sea Girt, who will present a talk on his new book "350 Years of New Jersey History - From Stuyvesant to Sandy" at its meeting on Monday, April 21 at 7:30 PM to be held at the Poricy Park Nature Center, 345 Oak Hill Road, Middletown.

While there is much talk about celebrating the 350th anniversary of the State of New Jersey, Bilby and his co-authors, James Madden and Harry Ziegler, have actually produced a volume that spans the entire length of our long history beginning with the colonial era New York governor, Peter Stuyvesant, whose expulsion by the English was the prelude to the formation of the New Jersey colony. The Sandy in the title obviously refers to the superstorm which still impacts New Jersey life by on-going recovery efforts.
