LINCROFT, NJ - Dress up the dog, plan your scarecrow, and come ready to have fun! Thompson Park Day is Sunday, October 20 from 11am to 5pm at Thompson Park, Newman Springs Road, Lincroft. This quintessential fall festival features contests, crafts, entertainment and so much more. Free activities include canoeing (12noon-4pm, weather permitting), pottery demonstrations, disc golf, kids’ races and entertainment. Activities requiring a ticket (each ticket costs $2) are Grab n’ Go ceramics, pumpkin painting, a climbing wall, wagon rides, inflatable rides, mini golf, a junior ferris wheel, a swing ride, 3 lane sports obstacle course, rock-n-roll racing, and archery. The Creative Arts Center will be offering Fired Up Ceramics for five tickets. A scarecrow contest will be held from 11am to 4pm. Entries are $10 in advance or $15 the day of event. The Friends of the Parks will be holding their annual Strut Your Mutt doggie costume contest as well.
