FREEHOLD, NJ - The deployment orders from the U.S. Navy calling Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni to active duty for a tour of duty in Afghanistan have been rescinded.

Gramiccioni, a Lieutenant Commander (O-4) in the U.S. Naval Reserve attached to the Region Legal Service Office, Naval District Washington DC (RLSO NDW), received orders from the U.S. Navy earlier this year directing him to report for active duty on August 9 for combat zone orientation and training prior to his departure on September 6 for a 9-month tour in Afghanistan, but those orders have been cancelled.

"The outpouring of support from the people in my Office and people all across the state meant so much to me and my family during the lead-up to this deployment.  I am blessed to work with all these outstanding people and touched by the kindnesses extended by everyone - thank you," Gramiccioni said.
