Shrewsbury, NJ – Uncle Louie G, located at 46 West Front Street in historic Keyport, will support The Community YMCA at their first anniversary celebration Sunday, June 9, from 12–5 p.m. Ten percent of all sales that afternoon will directly support the Y’s Strong Kids Campaign, which helps kids and families in need of Y programs and services.
"Uncle Louie G is honored to support The Community YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign, which makes it possible for families in need to access the Y's programs and services. Now more than ever, the Y needs our support to assist the many families in Keyport and the entire Bayshore area, who were severely impacted by Super Storm Sandy," said John Haley, co-owner of Uncle Louie G.
The Y continues to assist local families in recovering from the storm through counseling services and summer camp scholarships for youth. In mid-June, the Y will be opening the Bayshore Family Success Center at the Union Beach Memorial Library to further support families in need of support services.
As a nonprofit charitable organization, the Y is grateful for support from Uncle Louie G and other businesses and individuals whose generosity makes it possible for the Y to provide over $1.5 million in assistance to 3,000 local children and families through the Strong Kids Campaign.
The anniversary celebration will have live music and entertainment at the Front Street Mini-Park, directly across from the Uncle Louie G. Sixties band London Fogg and former recording artist Nikki Lauren will be featured performers.
Uncle Louie G is known for their homemade Italian Ices and Ice Cream that originated in Brooklyn, NY and has grown to over 30 locations throughout the East Coast.
