TINTON FALLS, New Jersey  – Shore Flicks is excited to announce that a full schedule of free outdoor movies will be returning to the Jersey Shore this summer.  The Free Summer Movie Series presented by XFINITY will feature 65 nights of movies in 15 towns throughout Monmouth County plus Long Beach Island.

"In the aftermath of Sandy, we couldn't be more thrilled about being back on the beaches and in the parks," said Shore Flicks owner TJ Brustowicz. "Especially in towns that were so directly affected like Sea Bright, Keyport, and Spring Lake."

Shore Flicks is pleased to welcome Comcast as the title sponsor this summer.

“The summer movie series is a natural way to bring the community together, and that’s especially important after an event like Sandy,” said Comcast Regional Vice President of Government Affairs Bill Kettleson. “Comcast is thrilled to support the series and help Jersey Shore residents reconnect.”

Thanks to generous sponsorships from local businesses, Shore Flicks is able to provide its services at no charge to the towns or the audiences.  Sponsors include Comcast, New Jersey Natural Gas, Coldstone Creamery, Red Bank RiverCenter, Lincroft Village Dental Care, Colonial American Bank, Two River Theater Company, Microsoft, Red Bank Flavour, Asbury Park Film Initiative, and Greater Media radio stations WRAT, WJRZ, and WMGQ.

This summer's movie line-up includes '80's favorites like Back to the Future and The Princess Bride, as well as new additions like Madagascar 3 and Brave.  The series kicks off June 3 at Veterans Park in Hazlet with the Disney Pixar hit Wreck-it Ralph.

Towns participating this summer are Asbury Park, Red Bank, Sea Bright, Spring Lake, Middletown, Atlantic Highlands, Hazlet, Keyport, Fair Haven, Ocean, Eatontown, Oceanport, Matawan, Neptune, Shrewsbury, and Long Beach Island.

Movies begin just after sundown and are shown on Shore Flicks' 16' inflatable screen.

One of the highlights of the 2013 schedule is Shark Week, as the classic Jaws is shown eight straight nights beginning August 18 in Sea Bright.  “Jaws on the beach is fast becoming a Jersey Shore tradition,” said Brustowicz.  “It will be particularly exciting to return to the ‘scene of the crime’ when we show it in Matawan.”  The 1916 shark attacks in Matawan Creek were the inspiration for Peter Benchley’s novel Jaws and the subsequent blockbuster film.

As in previous years, each night Shore Flicks will be collecting non-perishable food items to be distributed to food banks and pantries throughout the area. This summer, the Free Summer Movie Series presented by XFINITY will also support two Sandy-related charities, RAINE Foundation and Sea Bright Rising.

People are encouraged to follow Shore Flicks on Facebook and Twitter for updates on the movie nights, including cancellations due to weather.

Winner of the Asbury Park Press Reader's Choice Award for Best Free Entertainment in 2011 and 2012, Shore Flicks has been providing the best in outdoor movie entertainment in Monmouth County and throughout New Jersey since 2007.  For more information, please visit www.shoreflicks.com.
