State and Federal Officials to be on hand to assist local residents and discuss recovery and rebuilding efforts

Trenton, NJ – The Christie Administration will hold Mobile Cabinet office hours in Aberdeen on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Aberdeen Town Hall (1 Aberdeen Square, Aberdeen, NJ 07747) from 9am – 5pm. Representatives from state and federal agencies, including the Governor’s Office of Constituent Relations, the Department of Banking and Insurance, Department of Environmental Protection, Department of Community Affairs, the Business Action Center, FEMA and the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), will be on hand to assist residents and discuss ongoing recovery and rebuilding efforts. Residents seeking assistance can expedite the process by bringing relevant documentation related to the issue they are facing. For example, individuals with insurance issues should bring their policies and any claims information, documentation and relevant correspondence they have.

Since Governor Christie announced this initiative last November, the Administration has conducted mobile cabinets throughout affected areas of Atlantic, Bergen, Cumberland, Monmouth, Middlesex and Ocean.  Staff will be on hand to explain what the recently approved Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Disaster Recovery Action Plan means for New Jersey residents as they rebuild from Superstorm Sandy.
