ASBURY PARK, NJ – In response to the shootings at 1213 Monroe Avenue in Asbury Park on May 11th, Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County has released the following statement:

"We at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County are saddened by the recent shootings that occurred Saturday night at 1213 Monroe Avenue. Our hearts go out to the victims and their families. We are grateful that no Club kids were involved in the incident and that the safety of our facility and all Club members is as strong as ever.

We stand with the community of Asbury Park in condemning and deploring the violence that threatens our city streets and its young people.
