Newark, NJ – Feeling overwhelmed after finding out you have HIV?  Not sure of your next steps? Did you find out you have HIV from an in-home HIV test kit?  Have you stopped going for treatment for HIV infection?

The New Jersey AIDS/HIV/STD Hotline helps people just like you, and anyone infected with HIV get hooked up to the medical treatment needed to stay healthy.   Call us at 1-800-624-2377 today to speak with a healthcare professional who will connect you to medical care on the same or next business day.

HIV does not discriminate!  Anyone can get HIV through unprotected sex, sharing needles to inject drugs or from tattooing.  Even newborns are at risk when born to HIV-infected mothers.

Linking HIV-infected people to medical care early increases their chance for staying healthy.  HIV testing, diagnosis and treatment help prevent others from being infected.

The NJ AIDS/HIV/STD Hotline, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the New Jersey Department of Health all recommend that everyone ages 13-64 be tested for HIV routinely, especially those at higher risk for HIV infection and pregnant women. About 1 in 5 Americans infected with HIV, do not know they have it.

For more information about HIV, HIV testing, and linkage to HIV treatment call the healthcare professionals at the New Jersey AIDS/HIV/STD hotline, 1-800-624-2377.
