Sine Die, organization meeting will be held Jan. 3
FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP – The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold its annual organization meeting at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3 at the Biotechnology High School at 5000 Kozloski Rd.
On the agenda will be the swearing-in of John P. Curley and Serena DiMaso as members of the Board of Chosen Freeholders, and M. Claire French as Monmouth County Clerk.
All three were elected to three-year terms in their respective positions in November 2012. Curley will be sworn into his second term as a freeholder; DiMaso will be sworn into her first elected term, a position she was appointed to when Freeholder Robert D. Clifton became a State Assemblyman to the 12th legislative district in January 2012. French will be sworn into her fourth term as County Clerk.
At 11 a.m., the 2012 Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold a Sine Die meeting in the Hall of Records at 1 East Main Street. This meeting is held to conclude financial and other business matters for 2012. The Latin term Sine Die means the final adjournment of a legislative session, without adjourning to a specific time or date; literally it means “adjournment without a day.”
