ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ - Superstorm Sandy cleanup and recovery efforts continue through much of the region, but that has not stopped voters from turning out - for some, at new polling locations.
Voters in all four voting districts in Atlantic Highlands are casting their ballots in the bays of the Atlantic Highlands Fire Department at the Emergency Service Building, behind Borough Hall.
There has been confusion for many voters in Monmouth County about where to vote, as some of the orginal voting locations were inundated with water or have no electricity. Google has a website which gives your new or current voting location. Type you address into the appropriate field and full details about the voting location, candidates, and special questions on the ballot for your region. Visit the site at:
Another tool for finding your voting place is provided through Mobile Commons. Text your full home address to 877877 and you will receive a message to tell you where to vote.
Polls close at 8:00 p.m. tonight.
Unofficial results will be posted online as they become available from the Monmouth County Clerk's Office.
