FREEHOLD, NJ -  Wedgwood Gardens Rehab & Care Center of Freehold, NJ is proud to introduce their personal community service group of seniors called the “Seniors That Care Committee.” Krista Fischer, the Activity Coordinator sits with the residents of Wedgwood monthly and chooses monthly community projects to take part in.

This month they are proud to announce they will be distributing candy bag donations to the K. Hovnanian Pediatric Unit at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Krista will be visiting the children with the hand gathered goodie bags dressed in full Snow White attire. She herself, a thyroid cancer survivor takes great pride in working in various organizations helping others in need.

Diane Judge, Wedgwood Gardens President of Resident Council is overjoyed to be helping such a worthy cause and bringing smiles to children who won’t be able to go trick or treating on Halloween. Sugar Rush Cupcakes of Red Bank, NJ has agreed to donate delicious baked goods to the children, as well we have contacted many other Monmouth County businesses interested in donating candy.  Our residents are very excited to be running this drive and will be arranging goodie bags on October 25th so we ask that all people willing to donate please drop off their goodies by October 22th. The hospital has asked us that all candy should be sealed and contain no peanut products.
