MIDDLETOWN, NJ - Rebecca’s Reel quilters explore the magic of fabrics, prints, and colors in bold imaginative combinations in their biennial exhibition. The “Color My World”  show runs Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19, 2012,  from 10 am to 4 pm at Poricy  Park, 345 Oak Hill Rd. in Middletown.


170 quilts will be displayed in four Poricy Park buildings: the historic Murray Farmhouse and Barn, the Annex, and the Nature Center. In addition there will be demonstrations of "Project Pillowcase."  Quilters working with "Project Pillowcase" have created thousands of pillowcases for hospitalized children in our area.  This demonstration will use fabrics donated by as part of a community service project by George Putykewycz of Boy Scout Troop 32, River Plaza NJ.

There will also be refreshments, hand-crafted quilts for sale, and displays by batik artist Suzanne Egan-Hill, and specialty vendors Fabric Inspirations, Mouse Creek Quilts, Mile Square Fabric Studio, and Bernina of Matawan.  Admission is $5, children 8 and under free.  Tickets may be purchased at the door.
