Cleveland Clinic’s Steven Landers, M.D. Chosen to Lead
One of Nation’s Premier Home and Community-Based Healthcare Systems
RED BANK, NJ —Visiting Nurse Association Health Group announced today that its Board of Trustees has named Dr. Steven H. Landers, M.D., M.P.H. as the agency’s new President and Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Landers is an accomplished physician and researcher, and a highly-respected healthcare executive. He will officially assume his leadership role of the nation’s second largest not-for- profit home health care organization.

Dr. Landers currently serves as the Director of the Center for Home Care and Community Rehabilitation and Director of Post-Acute Operations for the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation. In this role, he has broad responsibility for the health system’s post acute strategy. The service lines under his stewardship deliver one million patient days of home care annually. As a certified family doctor and geriatrician, Dr. Landers places a strong emphasis on house calls to the vulnerable elderly in his clinical practice and has a specialized interest in geriatric medicine, home health, hospice and palliative care.

Dr. Landers received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. He completed his residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland and Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Cleveland Clinic. He currently serves on the board of directors of the National Association of Home Care and Hospice and the American Academy of Home Care Physicians. He has authored several articles on the role of home care in national publications, including the New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of the American Medicine.
