Eat, Drink, Play Games, Save Lives
EATONTOWN, NJ – No Lint Roller required for the Monmouth County SPCA Fur Ball. It will take place at the Encore Event Center at iPLAY America in Freehold on Saturday April 21, 2012 from 6 to 11pm. This Casual Cocktail Attire Ball is a great way to come out and support the animals at the Monmouth County SPCA (MCSPCA) while rediscovering your inner kid! While the Fur Ball is meant to bring out the kid in you, they ask that no actual children come out to play at this event. Scheduled for the evening there will be plenty of adult fun consisting of an open bar, fine dining and live music. Tickets are priced at $150 per person which includes all of the party festivities at the Encore Event Center at iPlay America, a huge gift auction and more. After the party, let the games begin! iPlay Games include Laser Tag, Go Carts, Arcade, Bumper Cars, 4D Theater, Mini Bowling, Boardwalk Games, Indoor Rides AND MORE!
Providing the sounds for the MCSPCA will be Jersey’s own legendary party band Brian Kirk & The Jirks. This band has been having a great time entertaining audiences in the East Coast Circuit for almost two decades. One of the reasons Brian Kirk & The Jirks have been a crowd favorite is there unique approach of not writing a set list. This allows the audience a chance to participate in the show instead of just being spectators. Instead Brian Kirk will call songs based on the crowd in front of him and often from requests he gets from the audience. So get ready to have fun and dance the night away to all of your favorite tunes!
The good times don’t stop there as the evening is being hosted by PIX 11 Morning News anchor, Tamsen Fadal. Besides her work on the early morning news Tamsen Fadal is also an author and co-founder of the Spiritual Awakenings Jewelry line and in 2010 had the opportunity to make her Broadway debut. Ms. Fadal resides in Manhattan with her husband and their two Chihuahuas, Matsen and Parker.
2011 brought recording setting numbers to the Monmouth County SPCA for lives saved and to recognize all of the homes that added a new canine, feline or a small and furry member to the family the MCSPCA Fur Ball will be honoring all of the 2011 Adopters. The focus of last year was all about the adopter and the adoption process from the advertising campaign to the adoption counter in the lobby of the Homeward Bound Adoption Center. So many animal welfare organizations often rely on the emotional heart wrenching sad lonely dog or the visibly injured cat to get the would be supporter to take action, but the MCSPCA wanted to break the stereo type and focus on the more positive message of adoption. So in keeping with that theme it seemed only natural that they would celebrate the year of the adopter by honoring them at the Fur Ball.
“One of the goals for the Monmouth County SPCA has been to enhance our outreach efforts in western Monmouth County. The recent announcement about our upcoming opening of the Homeward Bound Adoption Center at the Freehold Mall certainly affirms our commitment to that goal. What better way to promote this new venture than by holding Our Fur Ball Gala in Freehold as well. I would like to thank our Platinum Paw sponsors for their generous support in addition to the management of iPlay where we will be holding our event,” explained Jerry Rosenthal, MCSPCA Interim Executive Director.
