Lincroft NJ - Brookdale Community College will host the 27th annual Wilbur Ray Scholarship Dinner on Friday, March 9, 6pm at Branches in West Long Branch. Community members and students will be honored for their outstanding achievements in community service and scholastic endeavors. Proceeds from the event will benefit diverse student scholarships.

Recipients of the award are James Cofer III, Red Bank; Rev. Vernon McGowen Jr., Neptune; Brother John Muhammad, Asbury Park; James E. Holley, Tinton Falls; Minister Pamela Carey, Farmingdale; and Kenneth Morgan, Wayside. The student recipients are Itzel Perez, Red Bank and Terry King, Newark. They both attend Brookdale.

The event is organized by the following volunteers: Mary S. Scott (Chairperson), Neptune; Sharon Brown, Long Branch; Rev. Dr. Henry P. Davis, Atlantic Highlands; Louis Rodriguez, Marlboro; Phil Smith, Neptune; Dina Todd, Neptune; Bessie Wade, Neptune; Nancy Washington, Ocean and Louis Manuel, Asbury Park.
