Annual Program Makes the Holidays Brighter for Families in Need
Red Bank, NJ – Each year, many local friends and businesses support the Y’s annual Adopt-a-Family holiday drive, and make wishes come true for area families.
Community members and businesses adopt local families and children, to help provide new clothes, toys, books and special “wish gifts” from their list. Families are located through the Y’s Counseling and Social Services, which serves more than 1,600 children adults and families each year with counseling, foster care support and mentoring programs.
One of the local businesses that participated in the program this year was UBS Financial Services in Red Bank. The staff of UBS, as well as clients and friends of the company, helped to collect over 60 gifts for area families in need.
“We were pleased to support the Y’s program and assist local families in giving their children a Christmas to Remember. This was such a positive experience for our team, and we are looking forward to participating again next year,” said Heather Meade, Senior Wealth Strategy Associate, who led the collection effort at UBS.
Hundreds of families will benefit from the Y’s program, and gifts will be personally delivered to families this week.
