Sine Die, organization meetings will be held Jan. 5

FREEHOLD, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold a Sine Die meeting at 11 a.m. on Jan. 5, 2011 in the second-floor meeting room of the Hall of Records.

This meeting is held to conclude financial and other business matters for 2011. The Latin term Sine Die means the final adjournment of a legislative session, without adjourning to a specific time or date; literally it means “adjournment without a day.” The term is most commonly used to signify the final adjournment of a session of Congress or state Legislature.

Later that same day, at 4 p.m., the Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold its annual organization meeting at the Monmouth County Biotechnology High School at 5000 Kozloski Rd. On the agenda will be the swearing-in of Gary Rich as a member of the Board of Chosen Freeholders and Rosemarie D. Peters as the Monmouth County Surrogate.
