LAKEWOOD, NJ - The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore celebrated the remarkable accomplishments of the five 100th Anniversary Gala honorees during its annual Toast of the Holidays reception held on November 29th at Woodlake Country Club in Lakewood, NJ. This cocktail reception is one of many adult recognition events designed this year to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouting.

During the champagne toast, Katherine Durante (Toms River, NJ), executive director, OceanFirst Foundation; Joan Hart (Beach Haven, NJ), sales representative, The Van Dyk Group; and Vita Kolber (Locust/Middletown, NJ), civic volunteer were thanked for their personal, professional and community service. Joining this list of honorees, although not present at the event, are Pat Battle (Neptune Township, NJ), anchor and New Jersey correspondent, NBC News and Wendy Williams (Ocean Township, NJ), host of the Wendy Williams Show.

The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, which serves more than 15,000 girls with the help of over 6,000 adult volunteers in Monmouth and Ocean counties, will celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of these five honorees again at its 100th Anniversary Gala scheduled for March 30, 2012 at Eagle Oaks Country Club in Farmingdale, NJ.  Sponsorships and tickets are available.
