It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helene Weintraub (Klein) May 26, 1933 – November 17, 2011.  Helene was a frequent contributor to the AHHerald, writing several poems and articles.  - Editor

Helene Weintraub

Helene Klein was born in Yonkers, NY, attended Yonkers High School and was named “Miss Yonkers 1951”.  After attending New York University and majoring in English and Psychology, she married Seymour Weintraub in 1960.

She was a writer, editor and taught writing classes at the New School, Pace University, Baruch College and Brookdale Community College. For the past 10 years, she resided in Little Silver, NJ. 

She is survived by Seymour, her two daughters Karen Cooper and Lisa Swan, her grandchildren Danielle Swan, Mitch Swan, Cory Swan, Melissa Cooper, Adam Cooper and her great-grandchildren Molly Swan and Monahan Swan.

Chapel services Monday 11:00am from the Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels Highway #35 Ocean, NJ. Shiva will be observed Monday and Tuesday at the Cooper residence in Rumson. Donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
