RUMSON, NJ - Alicia Zielinsky will be introduced to donors and supporters as Shore Club House’s first Executive Director and Fountain House Executive Fellow at a gathering at Nancy Mulheren’s home on Sunday afternoon. 

This event to announce the first executive director is an exciting next step in the Shore Clubhouse’s development. “After holding a series of information gatherings on the clubhouse model, we have gained the support of the community,” says Susan Sandlass, board president. “By hiring Alicia as our new executive director, we can begin to build programs and hold meetings with members in the community, which is the ultimate goal of the Shore Clubhouse,”

Alicia will hold the first Shore Clubhouse meeting with members on Friday, November 18 at The Woman’s Club of Red Bank located at 164 Broad Street.

Alicia is very proud to be the first Executive Director of Shore Clubhouse which she describes as an “effective and necessary resource focusing on the strengths of people who live with mental illness.” Alicia currently works as a fellow at Fountain House four days a week and spends Fridays planning programs, meeting with members and fundraising for Shore Clubhouse. 

Alicia completed her Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling at Monmouth University in January 2011. Formerly a corporate IT professional, she is now a Licensed Associate Counselor in the State of New Jersey and certified through the National Board of Certified Counselors. Alicia is expected to graduate from the Fountain House Fellowship in June 2012, capable of assuming the leadership of the Shore Clubhouse full-time.

Fountain House, based in New York, NY is dedicated to the recovery of men and women with mental illness by providing opportunities for members to live, work, and learn, while contributing their talents through a community of mutual support.
