LINCROFT, NJ --  From scarecrows to worm races, Thompson Park Day celebrates the season with traditional autumn activities in a beautiful park setting. Held from 11am to 5pm on Sunday, October 16 at the facility on Newman Springs Road, Lincroft; Thompson Park Day is the quintessential fall festival.  

Free activities include entertainment, a corn maze, archery, canoeing (12noon-4pm, weather permitting), worm races, pottery demonstrations, golf evaluations and kids’ races. Activities requiring a ticket (each ticket costs $2) are pumpkin painting, ceramic painting, a climbing wall, wagon rides, inflatable rides, video game trailer and a 4-D movie experience.

A scarecrow contest will be held from 11am to 4pm. Entries are $15 in advance or $20 the day of event. The Friends of the Parks will be holding a “Strut Your Mutt” doggie costume contest as well.
