RED BANK, NJ - Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth county is gearing up for its annual Day for Kids celebration. The Red Bank Boys & Girls Club Day for Kids celebration is one of hundreds of events taking place across the nation, encouraging active play between young people and adults Sat., Sept. 17 at 9:00-4:00 (BBQ to begin at noon)

Open to the public, the event will include: Free BBQ, kids games, prize giveaways, face painting, and mural wall painting.

The event will be held at BGCM Red Bank Unit, 138 Drs. James Parker Blvd. (South Bridge Ave) in Red Bank.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, less than one-third of high school youth meet the recommended levels of physical activity. Active play is great for young people and fosters creativity, imagination exploration and helps to develop and master various skills. Through Day for Kids, BGCA is encouraging every American to play a part in ensuring a brighter future for young people by motivating them to lead a healthy lifestyle.
