LONG BRANCH, NJ - On Saturday October 1, 2011, The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) of Long Branch and New Brunswick in conjunction with The Children’s Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center will launch an exciting new event Ride For The Ronald McDonald House, with special guest, Ronald McDonald. This family-friendly bicycle event, presented by IOA Insurance Office of America, will be held at Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park (Long Branch, NJ) and will raise money to support the families who stay at RMH.

Whether you are an expert, intermediate or recreational rider, there will be a route for you:

  • The Family Ride    -  15 miles
  • Touring Ride            30 miles
  • The Metric Century - 62.5 miles… For those who are willing to go the distance!
  • We even have a children’s bicycle rodeo.

Everyone pays an entry fee of $35 (whether you are riding individually, or as a team) Children 12 and under - Free!

Individuals raising an additional $300 get an official event jersey. Teams (2 or more riders) raising $250 per rider get an official event jersey.

Registration starts at 7:30am (rain or shine). Bike Mechanics from The Peddler (Long Branch), will be available (at the park), snacks provided along the routes, bagels & coffee at registration.

RMH is a non-profit organization providing a “Home Away from Home” for the families of seriously ill children undergoing medical treatment at area hospitals. The House features all the amenities of home, offering families a comfortable and supportive environment with quick access to the hospital 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our doors are never closed. The House allows families to focus on what’s important – the health of their child - by helping to alleviate the added burden of financial and emotional stress.
