HOLMDEL, NJ — Area residents are invited to go back to a time when neighbors gathered not only to accomplish chores, but also to spend time socializing and enjoying each other’s company. Harvest Home Festival allows visitors to enjoy an old-fashioned country fair reminiscent of the 1890s. It will be held on Sunday, September 25 from 11:00am-5:00pm at Historic Longstreet Farm, located on Longstreet Road in Holmdel. The event will feature wagon rides, games, live entertainment, and demonstrations about farm life at the turn of the last century. Visitors are also invited to join in the spirit of the festival by entering one of the many competitions! Prize-winning categories include vegetables, fruit, canning, condiments, baked goods, needlework, quilting, and rug hooking.
