MANALAPAN, NJ – It’s not too late to enter the Monmouth County Library logo contest!

The Monmouth County Library is seeking creative young artists to design a new logo for the library system. The prize for the winning entry is $500 and the deadline for submission is Sept. 1.

The new logo should emphasize the added dimension of the Library’s services that are part of the growing dynamic of the Monmouth County Library System, according to Monmouth County Library Commission Chair Renee B. Swartz.

“Not only is the Library a place to dream, a place to learn and a place to realize one’s potential, but the Library has also become everyone’s corner store of the mind,” Swartz said. “These are the concepts we would like to see reflected in our new logo.”

The logo contest is open to all Monmouth County students, ages 14 to 22. The new logo will be used on the Library webpage, letterhead, fliers and other Library documents.

“This is a very exciting time for the Library System. We have taken on new challenges and have been very successful in offering a wide range of services and programs for the residents of Monmouth County,” said Freeholder Lillian G. Burry, liaison to the Library. “So it’s only fitting that we open the competition to our very talented young residents to create a new symbol for the Library.”
