256 Aspiring Cosmetologists will Cut Hair, Dye, Shampoo, Manicure, Etc. in Mass Practical Exam by NJ Division of Consumer Affairs
WAYNE, NJ – In a high-intensity mass practical cosmetology exam, 256 aspiring cosmetologists from 17 New Jersey schools will cut, wave, straighten, blow-dry, curl, tweeze, shave, wax, and manicure live human models at Passaic County Technical Institute’s Wayne campus on Saturday, June 4.
“These aspiring cosmetologists have worked hard to develop the highly detailed skills of a challenging trade. Now we’re helping them get to work,” Thomas R. Calcagni, Acting Director of the State Division of Consumer Affairs, said.
Calcagni noted the practical exam is a necessary, final step toward being licensed by the New Jersey Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling, which is part of the Division of Consumer Affairs.
