FREEHOLD, NJ - Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children of Monmouth County together with the Jersey Shore Running club are teaming up to make a difference in the life of a child.
CASA’s “Step Up for a Child 5K” is being held in memory of CASA volunteer Mike Campion. This is an event for the entire family featuring raffle prizes, trophies to top finishers overall and age groups, children’s activities and races, DJ Music, games, and more, plus a Post Race Celebration.
Sunday, July 31st. Registration starting at 8:00am at Joe Palaia Park, Ocean Township, 5K begins at 9:00am followed by Kids Races at 10:00am.

CASA for Children is a non-profit charitable organization which works through professionally trained and supervised volunteers to promote the welfare of foster children in Monmouth County, New Jersey who have been removed from their homes because of extreme parental abuse, neglect or abandonment. CASA serves as a child's "Voice in Court", working to ensure that needed services and assistance are provided while helping to move the child toward a safe and permanent home.
