On February 17, 2011, at a televised press conference at The City University of New York, Small Factory Flicks were presented with an Emmy® Award Nomination for children's programming by The New York Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NY NATAS). Small Factory Flicks have been described by parents and educators as pure, creative fun with a dose of healthy guidance for learning life's difficult lessons.

The 54th Annual Emmy Awards will be held on Sunday, April 3rd at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square. Small Factory Productions, creators of Small Factory Flicks, is thrilled to be included in the evening's special program honoring the talents and abilities of those who strive to improve the quality of television.

Who better to host Small Factory Flicks and introduce each cartoon than the kids themselves? The show's assistant producers and hosts, Kylin Lamar-McCastle, 13, from Fair Haven, NJ and Molly Siciliano, 10, from Red Bank, NJ awaken kids every Saturday to a fun-filled animated morning. Writers, artists, producers, and directors, ages 4 to 12, are key to the star-studded success of Small Factory Flicks.

The Emmy Nominated episode of Small Factory Flicks, aired on NYC life on May 12, 2010 and featured 8 original animations created by third and fourth graders, from the Achievement First East New York Charter School in Brooklyn, New York.

Small Factory Production's Create-A-Cartoon program was the inspiration for the Small Factory Flicks TV show. This interactive, educational arts activity is open to children ages 4 to 12 at the Small Factory studio or off-site at homes, businesses, schools, and organizations. Create-A-Cartoon themes often focus on topics affecting children, including world affairs, literacy, nutrition, hygiene, bullying, animal welfare, and environmental advocacy.
