LONG BRANCH, NJ — The Monmouth County Park System invites area residents to join its “Roving Naturalist” on Saturday, March 12 at 1pm at Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park, Ocean Avenue, Long Branch. The Park System’s Roving Naturalist will lead a free nature walk along the beach and discuss the returning endangered Piping Plovers and Least Terns. Held rain or shine, this informal outing is open to all ages.
The Roving Naturalist will be popping up at county parks throughout the spring and summer including a 1:30pm walk on Saturday, March 26 at Popamora Point (along the Henry Hudson Trail) in Highlands, and a 2pm walk on Tuesday, March 29 at Dorbrook Recreation Area, Rt. 537, Colts Neck.
