Proving that they are Stronger then the Storm

EATONTOWN, NJ - Ellis Kunke Controls, a business that has been manufacturing and distributing pneumatic control devices has just relocated to Eatontown New Jersey.

Ellis Kunke Controls made its home Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. The manufacturing and distribution firm has been there in 1974, until Hurricane Sandy changed all of that. When their facility sustained extensive damage from Hurricane Sandy, Ellis Kunke Controls rolled up their sleeves and started to re-build.  “When the storm hit - our building, everything was destroyed.” said Fran Ruane co-owner of Ellis Kunke controls. “We were crushed,” she added.

Howard Boyce, co-owner began the process of renting trailers so the pair could continue making and shipping their product. “We knew that we could not stay in Atlantic Highlands and that the trailers were just a temporary fix.” said Boyce, "but we also knew that we had to keep working for our employees and customers."

Ruane and Boyce began the search for a new location and found space in Eatontown. They are looking forward to their ribbon cutting on September 13th. “It’s bitter sweet, we love the town of Atlantic Highlands but are now looking forward to starting fresh in Eatontown”. Boyce stated.

Ruane added, “It’s been a long road, and one we would not have chosen, but it is our new reality and we are looking towards the future.” For more information about Ellis Kunke Controls please visit www.elliskunkecontrols.com
