ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ - An anonymous benefactor has chosen Mother Teresa Regional School, Atlantic Highlands, to receive a $50,000 donation to establish the school's St. Thomas More Scholarship Fund. "Our benefactor has challenged the school to match this generosity, up to $50,000," Principal Melissa Whelan Wisk stated. "Now, we need to rise to the challenge." Mother Teresa Regional School, a pre-K through 8th grade school, serves families in the Bayshore area and is sponsored by Holy Family Church (Hazlet), Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (Highlands),Saint Agnes Church (Atlantic Highlands),St. Ann's Church (Keansburg) and St. Catherine's Church (Middletown). "We are extremely grateful and blessed to have been chosen for this gift," said Wisk. "Catholic education is an important gift for a child and to be able to share this with so many students as a result of the generosity of this benefactor is a blessing." Families interested in applying for the scholarship are asked to contact the school and speak to Doris Kane, Business Manager (732)291-1050 x 119. The financial aid application can also be found on the school's website, www.mtregional.com.
