Point Pleasant Beach, NJ - Home cooks and chefs, there is still time to get your favorite recipe published alongside chefs who are well known locally and/or nationally with all proceeds going to Hurricane Sandy relief at the NJ shore.

Contributors to the Savoring the Shore fundraising cookbook to date have included Chef David Burke from Top Chef Masters and Fromagerie in Red Bank, Chef Eric LeVine from Chopped and Morris Tap & Grill in Randolph, Hell’s Kitchen Chefs Barret Beyer, Jessica Lewis, Amanda Giblin (originally of Tom’s River), and Jacqueline Baldassari, and Chef Michel Richard of Central by Michel Richard at Revel in Atlantic City - whom you may also know from episodes of Baking With Julia (Child).

Still others you may know who have contributed include Chef Joe Leone of Joe Leone’s Italian Specialties in Point Pleasant Beach and Sea Girt, Restaurateur Marilyn Schlossbach of Langosta Lounge, Pop’s Garage, and Dauphin Grille in Asbury Park, and Labrador Lounge and Pop’s Garage in Normandy Beach, Chef Mike Jurusz of Chef Mike’s ABG in South Seaside Park, and Chef Anthony Micari of The Ebbitt Room at The Virginia Hotel, Cape May.

The Savoring the Shore fundraising cookbook is seeking all types of recipes from home cooks and chefs: appetizers, soups, salads, dips, side dishes, main courses, breakfasts, desserts, and beverages. Some participants are also sharing optional shore memories and photos for inclusion in the book. There is no charge to participate. Names of businesses and organizations who participate will be published in the book, as well as names of individual contributors. Some groups such as the WGirls Coastal NJ of Redbank have also submitted as a group and have included a group photo.

The goal of the Savoring the Shore fundraising cookbook is to celebrate the NJ Shore while raising funds to help rebuild the Garden State. All proceeds will go to NJ Shore Hurricane Sandy relief.
