Revolutionary Non-Profit Organization has Provided Critical Support to more than 450 Women in the Tri-State Area Living with Cancer
Ocean Grove, NJ – Mary’s Place by the Sea, a non-profit "place to rest" for women living with cancer, will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on September 24 to officially open its new location, 15 Broadway, Ocean Grove, New Jersey. Tours of the house will give visitors a glimpse into the new and improved six-bedroom lake front bed and breakfast facility.
Mary’s Place by the Sea provides an innovative approach to caring for women with cancer during and after treatment. Services offered include a quiet place to rest, individual reiki therapy, oncological massage, guided meditation, nutritional counseling, spa services, group workshops and overnight accommodations, as well as meals and light housekeeping for the family back at home. All services are offered free of charge to guests and are funded solely by private and corporate donations.
“Our services are crucial to healing the mind, body and soul throughout the cancer treatment process,” said Michele Gannon, founder. “Our mission is to simply sustain the hope that Mary’s by the Sea provides for women during the most vulnerable time of their lives.”
The ribbon cutting ceremony will be followed by a Spanish-themed dinner and fundraiser, which will move attendees around the block to 25 Ocean Avenue. Paella and tapas, music by the Steve Reilly band with Flamenco dancers will add to the Spanish flair of the evening. Tickets are available in limited quantities for $100 each by calling 732-455-5345.
