KEENE, N.H. – Sixteen Keene State College players were named to the 2011 Gladiator by SGI /National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Collegiate National Academic Squad announced on Monday. The following Owl players had a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2011-12 academic year: Freshmen Emily Bergeron (Penacook, N.H.), D.J. Cassidy (Lowell, Mass.), Caitlin Davino‐Draper (Hanover, Mass.), Julia Forgione (Windham, N.H.), Marisa Lemoine (Berlin, N.H.) and Lauren Villanova (Woodbury, Conn.); Sophomores Aimee Donaruma (Hampden, Mass.), Hannah Gage (Lebanon, N.H.), Leddy Gallagher (Acton, Mass.), Justine Hunnewell (Lebanon, N.H.), and Stephanie Morse (Harrisville, N.H.); Juniors Alexandra Billert (Center Conway, N.H.), Kalin Billert (Center Conway, N.H.) and Katie Foyle (Salem, N.H.); Seniors Kerry Howe (Atlantic Highlands, N.J.) and Aislynn Sherry (Rehoboth, Mass.) Keene State also earned National Academic Team honors. The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2011-12 academic year. The Owls had a 3.26 team GPA.
