ASBURY PARK, NJ - On March 2nd 2013, the Lakehouse Music Academy will open its doors welcoming new students to their state of the art music performance school.  Housed in the newly renovated Lakehouse building at 619 Lake Avenue, overlooking Wesley Lake in downtown Asbury Park, the LHMA will be one of many music businesses in the building.  They will be sharing space with Russo Music, Lakehouse Recording Studios, Lakehouse Rehearsal, CoWerks, Bands on a Budget, Holtz Video and Photography and Mumford's Cafe.

The LHMA is a progressive music school providing relevant, real life music education for its students.  At LHMA students are given the opportunity to make music in a fun and exciting way; as part of a group in a song/composition based learning method.  Students also receive the valuable benefits that come from private music lessons.  The staff at LHMA are seasoned professionals: educated instructors, experienced musicians and performers, songwriters and studio engineers.

"It's an honor to be part of this new progressive music school.  It will always be a positive and encouraging place for musicians of all levels, and all ages.  Many different types of music professionals will be present at our facilities and we look forward to seeing the opportunities and magic created between everyone at the Lakehouse building.  It's very exciting that our students will be exposed to the remarkable talent that will come through our doors."  Albie Monterrosa, LHMA Music Director.

The LHMA gives lessons in all styles of music for Guitar, Piano, Bass, Drums, Vocals, Brass, Strings, Winds and more.

There is a pre-school music program with 4 different age groups called "The Kiddie Cadets" for students 6 months to 6 years old.

The LHMA offers an Adult group performance program called "Night Sessions," as well as Spanish speaking jam session "El Bacilon."

In addition, LHMA has two special needs music classes. "Beyond the Music,"  is for both children and adults.

LHMA also hosts summer camps and workshops in songwriting, audio engineering, recording, and stage performance.
