Saturday, July 21, FilmOneFest, Atlantic Highlands' popular free one minute film festival returns for a fourth summer. FilmOneFest is one of the premier events at the Jersey Shore, fun for the whole family.

The festival begins with an Arts and Crafts Fair and Street Fair on First Ave. from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., a collaboration among the Historical Society, Chamber of Commerce, and Arts Council.  

Beginning at 7:00 p.m., the festivities move to the harbor, with live music, stilt-walker, face-painter, clowns, and more.  Artists will be on hand to demonstrate and sell their work, and vendors will offer a variety of meals and treats.  At dark, jury-selected one minute films will be screened outdoors under the stars, with awards in several categories, including "Audience Choice."

Free admission and parking, premium seats available to purchase at http://filmonefest.org Rain/high wind venue - Charles Hesse Parish Hall, 55 South Ave., Atlantic Highlands.  Donations of non-perishable food and household items accepted for the Atlantic Highlands Food Bank.

Awards Reception: Sunday, July 22, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Meet festival judges, staff, and film-makers, and enjoy films that were accepted, but not screened at the public FilmOneFest on Saturday night. Tickets are only $15 at the Flaky Tart, 145 First Ave. in Atlantic Highlands, The Painted Frame, 77 Center Ave. in Atlantic Highlands, or online at http://filmonefest.org see.  The Awards Reception will be held at the Strauss Mansion, E. Mount Ave. and Prospect Circle in Atlantic Highlands.

New this year, the Smart Phone APP: the FilmOneFest has it's very own free Smart Phone and iPad app that will feature all the 2012 entries, as well as selected films from previous years, found at http://www.polymash.com/film-one-fest-ipad-app/.
