You may have heard that there was a plan to remove most of the trees on 2nd Avenue during the upcoming repaving and sidewalk replacement.

Good News!  The AH Council has agreed to have an arborist evaluate the trees on 2nd Avenue to determine how many can be saved.  Once the findings are in, and the report is available, the council will advise the residents of 2nd Ave and we’ll all have an opportunity to discuss the plans.

Thanks you, to all who were able to make the council meeting Wednesday night, or had contacted the Borough office to voice an objection. Communicating our concerns enlighten the council on how dedicated the residents of 2nd Ave. and AH are to preserving the environment and ambiance of our town.

We’ll continue to keep our neighbors posted. Watch for our next “tree” update, or sign onto the Atlantic Highlands Herald.  www.AHHerald.com
