The latest sign of lack of interest, money, consideration or attention to the fact Historic Fort Hancock is falling to pieces was evidenced this week when bricks from one of the residences which once housed Army military officers came crumbling down.

The buildings form the backdrop for one side of Pershing Field.

Coupled with the caved in roof a barracks on the opposite side of Pershing Field, the parade ground is now a more dangerous field than it was in wartime.
