Mayor Rast and the Atlantic Highlands Community Events Committee are “racing” to get ready for the Eighth Annual Mayor’s Ball. As you know, in 2007, Mayor Frederick Rast III launched The Community Events Committee as a non–political effort to raise funds for community organizations. To date, the Committee has donated over $100,000.00 to local groups.
This year, the AHCEC has selected the Atlantic Highlands Fire Department as the grant recipient. There is no need to describe the service the Department provides. They are there when we need them. Now, we have the opportunity to be there for them so that they can have the equipment they need to help us.
The ball will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Shore Casino in the AH Municipal Harbor. The theme will be “Triple Crown – Red White and Blue”. By popular demand, “Casino” gambling and Horse Racing will be offered.
We hope that you will support this worthwhile event with a donation or a sponsorship.
Again, this year, you have the opportunity to sponsor a race or “buy” a horse. For $50.00, you can name a horse in a particular race. If you prefer, you can name the race (like the Haskell) and name all the horses in the race for $500.00. You will find a description of the event and forms attached.
