Have you heard the news?

Last night, Asbury Park became the first municipality in New Jersey to take a stand for legalizing, taxing, and regulating marijuana for adults!

Even as Governor Christie threatens to roll back marijuana reforms in other states, elected officials in Asbury Park are leading the way when it comes to ending our failed system of prohibition.

Please send a note thanking Mayor John Morr and the City Council for their leadership.

NJUMR is allied with partners across the state, including Help Not Handcuffs in Asbury Park, to build the movement for reform.

Last night’s resolution marked an important milestone in that movement. As greater numbers of New Jerseyans realize our marijuana laws are discriminatory and ineffective, we expect more towns to follow Asbury Park’s lead.

And thank you for all that you do,
