Dear Assemblyman O’Scanlon,

I’m sure you noticed that a 78 year old woman was killed in a crosswalk opposite Foodtown on Broad Street. The site of her fatal injury was 8/10th of a mile from your office and 2.3 miles from your home.

I challenge you to come out and debate in public how your campaign to eliminate red light cameras made New Jersey safer for this woman. Even if there are problems with red light cameras, why is the solution to eliminate them entirely, instead of changing the way they are used?

I am an independent candidate for the Assembly in the 13th District this year, and if you try to dodge this issue and refuse to debate, I’m going to dog your footsteps all campaign calling the voters’ attention to your cowardice.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Very truly yours,

Joshua Leinsdorf
Atlantic Highlands, NJ
