Nice article (Red Bank is a Foodie Destination), Danny Murphy, but.....Red Bank always had a parking problem; it is worse than ever. You may think you have 3,000 parking spaces, including parking garage, but it is not enough.
Drive down Broad Street and you are hard pressed to find a parking space. Bridge Avenue is impossible, unless it is after commuter hours and you utilize the train station. Go to Riverview Hospital; you must use the parking garage because you can't find a spot on Front Street or in their lot. Try going to Count Basie for a show. You can't even access their parking across the street. Try parking on Reckless, or Leroy Place and walk to wherever you want to go.
Red Bank may have great restaurants, but if you can't park it is useless to go there. The stores are not what they use to be; there really are no stores in Red Bank that attract me enough to go there and drive around trying to park. Red Bank has talked about lack of parking for years and done little to nothing about it.
Don't be so foolish as to believe you now have enough parking for shopping, dining, visiting.
