It is with great pleasure that Commodore Ron Ledder of the Atlantic Highlands Yacht Club, Jeff Smith, Chair of the AHYC Race Committee and Scott Rathburn of the Sandy Hook Bay Catamaran Club will present a check for $500.00 to the Atlantic Highlands Fire Company at the Borough Council Meeting on March 12nd. This check is in appreciation for the excellent job they do in protecting the lives and property of Atlantic Highland’s residents both on land and on the local waters.

The funds for the Fire Department come from donations to the AHYC Blue Water Regatta, which has become the best attended and most successful two day Regatta on Sandy Hook Bay. Last year there were 46 entries from beach catamarans to 42 foot cruising sailboats. And this in spite of the racing fleet recovering from the ravages of Super Storm Sandy. The Blue Water Regatta is put on by the AHYC Race Committee and the Sandy Hook Bay Catamaran Club.
