VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES – SEPTEMBER 1, 2005The Volunteer Center of Monmouth County offers many volunteer opportunities. It is located at 191 Bath Avenue, Long Branch, 732-728-1927, Open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Thursdays - 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. HOSPICE ASSISTANT VITAS, a nursing home in Eatontown, is asking you to bring your pet to share with the patients, or to use your musical talents to entertain them. People are also needed to feed patients and to assist with administrative duties. The minimum age requirement is 16 for these ongoing activities.
